Before you read all the detail … a note about scheduling:

AZMRT teaches Advanced/Experienced Motorcycle Training courses when student demand warrants this class. There may be weeks or months between available ERC schedules, and the course is rarely offered during the hottest summer months. We keep a waiting list for the ERC, and will call those interested as soon as one can be scheduled.  Remember you MUST have 6 months or 6 thousand miles you personally have put on your own bike to qualify for this course.

 

 

 

 Experienced RiderCourse

• One-day course — riding exercises only
• Use your own motorcycle and protective gear
• Qualifies graduates for insurance premium discounts with most motorcycle insurers

Even if you’ve been riding for some time, there’s always something new to learn. Increasing numbers of seasoned riders are flocking to the 5-hour Experienced RiderCourse to hone their skills and fine-tune the mental skills needed for survival in traffic.

In the on-range class sessions, you’ll discuss with your peers how to balance the mental and physical aspects of safe riding, manage risk, increase visibility, and optimize your lane position. The Experienced RiderCourse also covers protective gear, rider responsibility, motorcycle inspection and care as well as the effects of alcohol and other drugs on riding.  A skill evaluation and knowledge test is required for Arizona DOT Motorcycle Endorsement requirement waivers.  Please call the office to register for class if you need to license – 623.979.1839.

Using your own motorcycle, you’ll put into practice the techniques of managing traction, controlling rear-wheel skids, stopping quickly, cornering, and swerving.  This license-waiver RiderCourse is a perfect way to reinforce basic skills on one’s personal motorcycle.
